ABOUT SIOUX Founded in 1996 in the Netherlands, Sioux Technologies has grown into a global high-tech solutions partner with over 1,300 engineers across 11 offices in Europe and Asia, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Romania, China, Vietnam, Singapore, and India. As one of the largest privately-owned tech companies in the Netherlands, we partner with world-leading companies such as ASML, ASM International, Kulicke & Soffa, Philips, Siemens, and Thermo Fisher Scientific to build complex systems at the frontier of what is technically possible. Our strength is the unique combination of competences we bring under one roof: software, mechatronics, mathware, electronics, physics & optics, mechanics, and assembly. Whether it is semiconductor inspection equipment, analytical instruments, or life-saving medical devices — we bring high-tech to life. SIOUX IN INDIA Sioux India, based in Pune, is a growing engineering centre working embedded within international project teams, collaborating daily with engineers in the Netherlands, Singapore, and Vietnam across the full product lifecycle. At Sioux India, you are a core part of the engineering team with real ownership of your domain and a genuine path to grow into senior and lead roles across our global network. The machines our Pune team contributes to end up inside some of the world's most advanced semiconductor fabs, analytical laboratories, and medical facilities. THE ROLE We are looking for an Electrical & Electronics Engineer who combines strong PCBA design skills with a solid understanding of electrical cabinet integration. You will take ownership of PCBA redesign and development projects — often triggered by a customer's redesign of a complex board — and carry that work through to a fully integrated solution, including the cabling and interfaces that connect the board to the wider electrical cabinet. You will work across the full electronics stack: schematic capture and layout, analogue signal chains, component selection, and — where a project calls for it — digital logic and FPGA-based design. A strong background in semiconductor capital equipment or a closely related high precision industry is desired. 2 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Redesign, develop, and requalify complex PCBAs for existing or new machine platforms, working from customer requirements, legacy designs, or reverse-engineered boards. • Design and validate analogue signal chains: sensor interfacing, signal conditioning, filtering, amplification, and precision ADC/DAC circuitry. • Define and design the cabling, connectors, and interfaces between the PCBA and the electrical cabinet, ensuring signal integrity, EMC compliance, and serviceability. • Own schematic capture, PCB layout, and BOM management using electrical CAD/ECAD tools (Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD/Allegro, KiCad, or similar). • Select and specify components for power distribution, protection circuits, sensors, and I/O, balancing performance, cost, and availability. • Support prototype build, bring-up, and debugging of new PCBA revisions, including root cause analysis of design or manufacturing issues. • Collaborate with mechanical, mechatronics, and software engineers to ensure designs are buildable, testable, and compliant with design-for-manufacturability and design-for serviceability principles. • Produce and maintain release-ready design documentation, including schematics, layout files, BOMs, and test/validation reports.

Job requirements

Must-have • Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering • 8–14 years of experience in PCBA design for industrial or high-tech machinery environments • Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout using an ECAD tool such as Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD/Allegro, KiCad, or similar • Strong analogue circuit design experience: signal conditioning, filtering, sensor interfacing, and power supply design • Experience defining cabling, connectors, and interfaces between a PCBA and an electrical cabinet • Understanding of EMC, grounding, and shielding principles for mixed analogue/digital designs • Component selection and BOM management, including sourcing and obsolescence considerations.
Nice to have • Digital logic and FPGA design experience (VHDL/Verilog) • Familiarity with embedded firmware and communication protocols (SPI, I2C, CAN, EtherCAT) • Semiconductor domain knowledge and hands-on experience with semiconductor capital equipment or analytical instruments • Knowledge of relevant standards (IPC-2221/2222, IEC 60204-1)
WHAT WE OFFER • Global engineering exposure — work embedded in international teams on machines used in the world's most advanced semiconductor fabs, analytical laboratories, and medical facilities. • Personal development budget — every Sioux engineer receives a dedicated annual training budget with career coaching and a personal people manager. • Onsite opportunities — short and long-term assignments at Sioux offices and client sites in the Netherlands, Singapore, and beyond. • Varied, meaningful work — semiconductor precision machines, analytical instruments, medical devices, and mobility systems. No two projects are the same. • Competitive compensation — health insurance, annual health check, and professional development support.
